This year, Apple has repurchased no less than 15 companies. While some acquisitions have already been announced, others had not yet been released by the group. The firm had to confirm the acquisition of two companies namely Catch and BroadMap. However, the amount of the two transactions was not confirmed by the group.
According to AllThingsD, the company has indeed acquired these assets by integrating their tools within its services. By cons, if BroadMap continues to have an independent existence, the application note-taking developed by Catch is not available outside the Apple trails.
As for the expertise provided by BroadMap it should improve the functionality of Apple tools for mapping. It is for example able to operate better management and more easily analyze some data entered on a map.
