Environment

The Higher National Music Conservatory and dance Paris is a superior administrative public educational institution under the Ministry of Culture and Communication. Housed in a building of 35 000 m2 Conservatory welcomes nearly 1,300 students, 400 music and dance teachers and 200 administrative staff. For learning of the scene he organized nearly 300 public events a year.

Service Overview
The library of the National Conservatory of Music and Dance ( Media Hector Berlioz) has one of the musical and choreographic funds richest and most important French. It now puts at the disposal of students and professors of the Conservatory and the public nearly 280,000 records in all media (books, sheet music, periodicals, audio and audiovisual recordings, research papers …). A library portal provides access to many online resources (audiovisual archives of the Conservatory, autograph letters, sheet music, dictionaries, encyclopedias and periodicals online …)
Its collections cover all research in music and dance. Since its inception in 1990 the library has developed a large loan funds (more than 50,000 documents).
It maintains close links with the National Library of France, the Conservatoire library, site of libraries and documentation centers the City of Music and PSL documentary pole (Liberlabo)
In collaboration with professors of the Conservatory it ensures visits, courses and workshops: discovery of collections, research sources and directory, research methodology …
A team of 14 people welcomes students, teachers and external public in a prepared space, a consultation area, a record library and studios with audio / video.

Missions of the post:

Under the authority of the department head, the incumbent’s main duties:
– Manage and administer the computer system of library (standby, development and evolution)
– Monitor and evolution of
documentary portal – Managing electronic resources, initiate and monitor projects scanning and archiving

It ensures in all these areas the relations and cooperation with the various services of the Conservatory (audiovisual, computer, communication …) and partner libraries (recoveries and records payments, portals, resource pooling …). It is
related and negotiates with service providers and business partners.
He also participates in hospitality, mediation, education and research service (information on collections, bibliographic searches, visits, receptions classes, literature workshops …)
