Among the seniors under age 75, 60% are equipped with a tablet or computer. Models specially suitable for them are growing. There are even shops specializing in computer science for the elderly.
The manufacturers rely on custom software, tailored to that audience. “No need to worry about backups. All this is automatically saved on secure machines to allow to free the mind of the person and allow seniors to use computers in the easiest way possible” says François Pernice, creator of Ordimémo.
These tablets can be up to two times more expensive than a conventional tablet. The price to pay to stay connected. “The children and grandchildren grow us. We are obliged to be at the page for them,” says one client.
The tablet even made his comeback in some retirement homes .
