Egypt Sunday unveiled an ambitious project that aims to break the” secrets “of the pyramids, including seeking to discover Rooms stolen in four of the Pharaonic monuments and finally clear up the mystery surrounding their construction.
“Scan Pyramids”
Scientists and architects from Egypt, France, Canada and Japan, will use infrared technology and sophisticated sensors to map the pyramids of Khufu and Khafre Menkaure with -which form the famous pyramids of Guizeh- and two Dahshur Pyramids , south of Cairo. The “Scan Pyramids” project, which should last until the end of 2016, is a new attempt to clarify the secrecy surrounding the construction of the pyramids.
The two pyramids of Dahshur were built by Pharaoh Sneferu, father of Khufu and founder of the Fourth Dynasty (2600 BC). 146 meters high, the pyramid of King Cheops, the largest of the three pyramids of Giza considered one of the seven wonders of the world of antiquity, was built there are more than 4,500 years. Towards new discoveries?
