The Orange phone operator has formalized on Monday the launch of its 4G network in L’Aigle. Five neighboring municipalities benefit of this device: Saint-Sulpice-sur-Risle, Saint-Ouen-sur-Iton, Rai, St. Michael and St. Martin Tuboeuf of Ecublei
The Eagle is the third city of the department to benefit from 4G after Alençon and Flers. Argentan Mortagne soon follow. “ The Eagle is one of the municipalities of the department where the rates are the best in the internet. One in four has access to high speed, greater than 30 megabytes” said Jean-Paul Portron , Director Orange Normandy Centre.
“This is a relatively expensive deployment plan of around € 100,000 per relay, more than € 300,000 for all the relays of the city “, concedes the operator has invested 1.2 billion euros for this deployment in France. 74% of the country is now covered by 4G.
