tracking the planets Kepler
Kepler telescope measures the brightness of about 150,000 stars. The first exoplanet discovery is called 62, it orbits in 122 days around its star. Eric Agol, who is a professor at the University of Washington, detected later Kepler 62f, which has an orbital period of 267 days. According to NASA, the Kepler telescope has made much progress and will enable scientists to whether the Earth has a twin or if it is only sister. The three exoplanets can therefore harbor life, but this is not the case of Kepler 62b, 62c and 62d.
Another Sun
According to NASA, their orbital period is respectively 5, 12 and 18 days. So life as we know it may not be detected, because the temperatures are too high. In the Kepler 69 planetary system, the star is in the same class as our Sun. Scientists believe they are more likely to find a second Earth in an area where the star like our Sun. The Kepler telescope continues to track the planets trying to find perhaps another Earth.
