Jean-Marc Ayrault said Tuesday that the government would be “particularly vigilant and demanding” on the implementation of the social plan of telecoms equipment maker Alcatel-Lucent, which provides for the elimination of 10,000 jobs worldwide, including 900 France. “I hope that the strategy will be clarified and that all measures that will ensure the future of this group and also the maximum number of jobs and sites are treated equally,” argued the Prime Minister at a conference release.
