CNIL: The police files contain incorrect information - Be Geek

CNIL has already conducted such a survey of the gendarmerie and the police in 2007/2008. A year later, control was completed and a report containing improvements had been sent to the Prime Minister at the time. The CNIL (National Commission for Data Protection) decided in 2012 to conduct a new study. She was trying to find out if any proposals made previously had been applied. CNIL intends to formulate new proposals while anticipating difficulties in establishing these files. The results therefore did not satisfy the expectations of the commission realized that the proposals made in the previous report had not borne fruit. In a new report published on its website, the CNIL points to serious flaws because “ failures identified in 2009 persist .” The commission is still optimistic a scenario and noted that progress should be achieved through modernization tools. The CNIL noted that some failures are expected to continue despite the advances.
