Internet TV: Google is trying once again to convince - ZDNet

Business: Google TV was very coldly received by audiovisual players, but Google does not disarm according to the WSJ and tries to convince the media groups to broadcast their content under license.

Google TV, the American company failed to convince major broadcasters TV programs, including the United States. However, Google does not intend to abandon this market, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.

Hostility

Google would have, once again, approached companies in the sector to offer them a broadcast license their content to Internet service called “over-the-top.” To convince Google has added to its presentation, “pitch”, a demonstration of its product.

enough to succeed where the giant failed two years earlier? The outcome is uncertain. What is certain, however, they are competing ambitions in the field of Internet TV. Intel is in the running (but careful), as suspected Apple TV to develop a service associated with an Apple TV device.

But

Web players must also contend with the hostility and rivalry between traditional pay-TV players, including U.S. cable operators like Comcast.
