Yahoo! announced it has completed the acquisition of Xobni, a startup manager multiplatform editing contacts.
 Xobni

Founded in 2006, the company Xobni – “Inbox” backwards – is specialized in the management of a unified address book. The latter is used to gather information from different accounts (webmail, local book, community networks) with a combination of contacts to avoid duplicates. Xobni works with Gmail, Yahoo! Mail and iCloud offers a mobile app for iOS and Android. A plugin for Outlook is also available via an offer reserved for professionals.

The company has been acquired by Yahoo!. For several weeks, rumors speculated about a reconciliation between the two parties. Xobni should allow Yahoo to strengthen the tools of Yahoo! Mail while expanding its presence in the mobile sector, which is one of its key growth drivers. Note in passing that the Xobni CEO Jeff Bonforte previously worked at Yahoo! as vice president of communications products.

This acquisition is reflected in particular by the introduction of a new road for different products developed by the sapling with the closure of some services and the development of new plugins.

Over the years, Xobni has raised $ 42 million and the redemption was made up of $ 60 million.
