A little over a year after launching the first generation, and a few months after launching the MacBook Air Haswell processors, Apple announced as expected the second generation MacBook Pro with Retina displays.
The main novelty is of course the adoption of Intel Haswell platform. By embedding the Intel Core fourth and latest generation processors, they gain autonomy as expected, but the 13-inch model also loses weight and thickness.

The MacBook Pro 13-inch Retina now weighs 1.57 kg for 1.8 cm thick. It has a Core i5 dual heart processor incorporating a GPU Graphics Iris, 90% more efficient than the previous GPU. The 15-inch model has the same overall contributions if not he is entitled to a Core i7 quad heart incorporating a GPU Graphics Iris Pro, Apple delivers the same performance as a dedicated GPU for shift consumption.
