Free subscribers had an unpleasant surprise Tuesday night: no access to the Internet or television. The failure affecting their box occurred around 21h. The situation returned to normal around 1am Wednesday.
For now, Free has not yet reported on the failure. The company could not be reached Wednesday morning. According to the website dedicated Univers Freebox, there would have been a problem on Tuesday night the Free authentication servers. Freebox could not authenticate to the network operator. Univers Freebox says the outage affected only subscribers who came to restart the Freebox. She may therefore be linked to a network overload after the deployment of the latest update for the Freebox Player late Tuesday afternoon.
