“Dances and new technologies: the metamorphosis of … – Clicanoo

As part of the lecture series CHOREGRAPHIQUE CULTURE / DANCES – POLICY in partnership with Lalanbik, Annie Suquet give a lecture at the upper Art Academy Reunion, Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 10 am in the conference room. . Free admission

The conference will focus on:

screens, projections, apparatus and various technological devices which diffract, twist, extend, relocate the presence of bodies on stage … Here well a trait that might seem characteristic of contemporary dance scene: the dancers there would question the transformations of perception and body experience in the era of so-called “new technologies”

Annie Suquet is a historian and researcher of dance.

She has developed her research through a residency at the Merce Cunningham dance Foundation in New York for three years. She has since worked as a teacher, lecturer and researcher in various settings, mainly in Paris (Centre National de la Danse, University of Paris VIII …) and Geneva (School of Fine Arts, University, ADC, Fluxus Foundation … ). She published in 2012, The Awakening of modernity – A cultural history of dance (1870-1945), the first work of the new collection “Stories” of the National Dance Centre. Source: lalanbik
