Born in 2009 near Linz, Austria, has recorded more Runtastic 140 million downloads and has 70 million registered users, according to Adidas.
The company was until now 50.1% owned by a subsidiary of the German group Axel Springer (publishers of large-circulation newspapers), an investor and the founders. The application is available in 18 languages.
Between gadgets and new technologies, for example Runtastic also proposes to count its pumps by touching the screen with the tip of the nose to measure heart rate through the sensor the camera or get distracted during the session with stories of 30 to 40 minutes, with music and ambient sounds.
