CISCO TANA: in the age of new technologies – NewsMada – The News From Madagascar

With a view to encourage the use of computers and the Internet in the administrative correspondence of the various public schools of the capital, the school district (Cisco) Antananarivo-Renivohitra currently in splint the appropriation of new technologies, through an event dedicated to Information Technology and Communication in Education (CTBT), held Wednesday through next Friday in the premises of the Lycée Jean-Joseph Rabearivelo to Analakely .

Presentations, meetings for exchange and sharing of experience and training are planned for the three days capacity building on Tice. These training sessions are available for 93 public primary school principals (EPP), grouped into six areas of educational administration (Zap) on e-mail.

Changing Education towards the digital age remains an ambitious challenge that requires the commitment of all stakeholders. Given the contribution of this tool, it is a gamble worth to hear , “said the Director of Information and Communication Technologies (DTIC), Thierry Serge Tsitoara at the Ministry of Education (Men).

He said that in the wake ownership Tice in Madagascar has already begun. On this subject, flagship projects, based on Tice, will be implemented. This is among others the project of “Improving the quality of education in Madagascar” (Aquem), which provides for the delivery of computer equipment to 207 schools. In parallel, endowments than 800 digital television sets, 5,000 tablets, one thousand solar panels and distance training of newly recruited teachers, are in progress.
